Mia's Ride:
An Afternoon of Live Art, Appies & Auction in support of Mia's Ride.
Mia is a joyful 8 year old who lives in West Kelowna with her twin sister and parents. Mia faces the challenges of severe Cerebral Palsy, affecting all aspects of her life including her hearing and speech, and confining her to a wheelchair. The current family vehicle is not adapted (or adaptable) for a wheelchair, and several times a day Mia's mom manually lifts Mia in and out of her wheelchair, and then manually loads and unloads the heavy wheelchair. The cost of the van and conversion is $108,000.
They need 4 volunteers: front greeters, standing near silent auction, handing out wine tickets, set up, and take down. 2 volunteers needed from 11:00pm-4:30pm; and 2 others from 1:00pm-5:30pm.
