Our very own Peggy Southin has written a powerful and informative article for World Polio Day, highlighting Rotary’s vital role in the fight to eradicate this disease. We encourage all members to take the time to read it and reflect on how far we’ve come and how close we are to a polio-free world.
The Gellatly Bay Trails and Parks Society, founded by the Westbank Rotary Club in 1986, has been instrumental in enhancing West Kelowna’s trail system. Led by President Bruce Dalrymple and Secretary Garry Wittich, both valued members of our Rotary Club, their leadership has been key to the success of projects like the Gellatly Bay foreshore trail and other community landmarks. In the photos, you can see Bruce and Garry hard at work on the trails, including their recent completion of a set of stairs, a testament to their hands-on dedication. We sincerely thank Bruce, Garry, and the Society for their outstanding contributions, which continue to enrich the outdoor experiences of our residents and visitors.
