Reflecting on 2024 and Looking Ahead to 2025
As we conclude 2024, it's inspiring to reflect on Rotary International's remarkable achievements and look forward to the goals set for 2025, both globally and within our own District 5060.
Rotary International Achievements in 2024:
Global Impact: Rotary clubs worldwide have continued to make significant contributions to their communities. For instance, the Rotary Club of Nairobi delivered bed kits to 8,000 school children, enhancing their well-being and educational experience.
Advocacy for Inclusion: Rotary honored members who have made transformational impacts through inclusivity. Notably, Manjoo Phadke received the Sylvia Whitlock Leadership Award for her tireless advocacy for gender equality and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
The Magic of Rotary: Stephanie Urchick, Rotary International President-elect, announced the 2024-25 presidential theme, "The Magic of Rotary," calling on members to recognize and amplify the organization's power to save lives.
District 5060 Goals for 2025:
Our district is committed to aligning with Rotary's strategic priorities to enhance our impact and engagement:
Enhancing Member Experiences: We aim to provide leadership, training, support, and motivation to our clubs, ensuring that every member finds value and fulfillment in their Rotary journey.
Growing Engaged Membership: Efforts will focus on expanding our reach by attracting new members and retaining existing ones through meaningful projects and fellowship.
Enhancing Humanitarian Service: We plan to support the Rotary Foundation and increase our humanitarian efforts, making a tangible difference in our communities and beyond.
Building Rotary’s Public Image: By promoting our projects and successes, we aim to enhance Rotary's public image, showcasing the positive impact we have locally and globally.
