Rotary Youth Exchange Student Is Arriving

We're excited to welcome our new Rotary Youth Exchange student, Mateus, to West Kelowna!

Mateus will be arriving on August 28 at 10:56 AM on Air Canada flight AC1997. Members who are available are encouraged to come to the airport to give him a warm Rotary welcome and help him feel at home from the moment he arrives.

Mateus is looking forward to experiencing everything our community and the Okanagan have to offer. He's particularly interested in:

🏒 Hockey and skating
🎿 Skiing and snowshoeing
🎣 Ice fishing
🏕️ Camping
🛶 Canoeing and kayaking
🌊 Whitewater rafting, boating, tubing and waterskiing
🏔️ Trips to Vancouver Island, the Kootenays and Whistler
♨️ Hot springs
⛳ Golf
🎾 Tennis and pickleball
⚽ Joining a soccer team while he's here

There are plenty of opportunities for our members to help Mateus experience Canadian life and introduce him to the many activities our community has to offer.

If you participate in any of these activities or have connections that could help Mateus get involved, please reach out! Whether it's taking him skating, inviting him camping, helping him find a soccer team, or simply showing him around West Kelowna, these experiences are what make Rotary Youth Exchange so special.
