“A Twist on Tasting” Apr 20, 2013

|Posted on March 15, 2013 |

The most fun tasting event in the Okanagan takes place from 7 – 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Lion’s Hall in West Kelowna.

The “twist” is that guests are organized into groups to go from one table to the next and the tastings are timed in five-minute intervals.  Like speed dating, but with drinks instead of dates!

There is a cash bar reception to start; official tastings from 7:30 – 9:30pm including an intermission; a Silent Auction with featured artwork from Mt. Boucherie Senior Secondary students; and lots of food and music throughout the evening.  Tastings include wines from Little Straw, Rollingdale, Mt. Boucherie, Bonitas and Sumac Ridge; beer from Okanagan Spring Brewery and Big Surf Beer; and hot and cold appetizers and dessert catered by Kelly O’Bryan’s.

Tickets are $40 each and are available at Fifth Avenue Auto or Wagner Appliances in West Kelowna; or call 250-212-4318.   We are promoting the MYSAFERIDEHOME® program so plan to drink responsibly by purchasing a prepaid taxi card at the above ticket locations or online at http://www.ovi.mysaferidehome.com/.
